8 Neenah High School Wrestlers meet WIWRESTLING.COM All-State Scholar Athlete Recognition

Neenah High School Wrestling had 8 wrestlers meet the traditional WIWRESTLING.COM All-State Scholar Athlete Recognition for the 2019-2020 season. Requirements to earn recognition as an All-State Scholar Athlete are...3.0 GPA, Minimum of 10 Matches Wrestled on Varsity, Minimum .600 winning percentage on varsity. Making the team this season are...Evan Piechocki, Tyler Beauchamp, Jayden Sheppard, Charlie Alft, Ramon Manka-Wigfall, Drake Hayward, Marshall Kools, and Bryce Fochs. Neenah's season ends at the hands of 3X straight Team State Champion Stoughton @ WIAA Team State

The Neenah HS Wrestling teams historic WIAA run ended on Friday March 6th at the WIAA Team State Tournament vs the Stoughton Vikings. The Rockets suffered a 45-24 defeat to the eventual WIAA Team State Champions in the WIAA Team State Quarterfinals. The Rockets were led with pins by Marshall Kools (195), Bryce Fochs (285), and Tyler Beauchamp (113). WIAA Individual State Qualifiers Jayden Sheppard (126), and Drake Hayward (145) also picked up wins by decision. This was the Neenah Wrestling programs second appearance at the WIAA Team State Tournament and first since 2004 (16 years).

Marshall Kools wins WIAA D1 Individual State Champion with a 45-0 record.

Neenah High School Senior Marshall Kools made his 3rd trip to the Kohl Center one for the ages. Kools brought home the WIAA Individual State Championship at 195 pounds in Division #1. Kools was 4-0 in the tournament winning three of his four matches by fall. Kools started off with a 9-3 decision over Stoughton's #4 Rudy Detweiler. Kools then took out #2 ranked Drake Schrams of Holmen in the state quarterfinals winning by fall in the first period. On Friday Night Marshall won via fall in the 3rd period in a hard fought 6-6 match at the time vs Mukwanago standout Ryan Krimpelbine. Kools then took care of business in the WIAA State Finals vs Zach Wallace of Burlington winning by fall in the 2nd period. Kools a 3X WIAA State Qualifier is Neenah's 9th Individual State Champion All Time with an undefeated record of 45-0. Kools also moved into 2nd place all time on the Neenah High School career wins list with 147 wins only behind Tim McCarthy at 158 career wins.

Hayward places 5th @ WIAA Individual State and gets Career Win #100

Neenah High School Junior Drake Hayward wrestled in his 3rd WIAA Individual State Tournament February 27th-29th at the Kohl Center. Hayward finished 5th overall in a loaded #145 pound bracket. Hayward got off to a fast start on Thursday night knocking off #2 Ranked Noah Leisgang of Ashwaubenon 3-0 and followed up that win with a dominant 10-4 win over Leo Draveling of Hudson. The 2-0 start Thursday night placed Drake in the WIAA Semi-Finals on Friday where he faced Max Ehlen of Burlington. Hayward led most of the match vs Ehlen but gave up a critical reversal with 15 seconds remaining to lose 4-3. Ehlen went on to win the WIAA Individual State Tournament. On Saturday Hayward lost 1-0 to Gavin Model of Stoughton to put him in the rubber match for 5th place vs Isaac Ortegon of Fond du Lac. Drake prevailed in the third meeting in just three weeks winning by fall to place 5th and get his 100th career win.

Neenah Qualifies 5 for the WIAA Individual State Tournament

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team qualified five wrestlers to the WIAA Individual State Tournament held at the Kohl Center in Madison WI Thursday February 27th-Saturday February 29th. The Rockets were led by WIAA Sectional Champions Bryce Crook @ 170 and Marshall Kools @ 195. Neenah also qualified sectional runner-ups in Jayden Sheppard @ 120, Drake Hayward @ 145, and Caleb Letson @ 220. Bryce Fochs was 3rd @ 285 while Tyler Beauchamp and Davin Munoz came in 4th @ 106 and 182 respectfully. The Qualifiers will take the mat at the Kohl Center on Thursday February 27th at 3:00 PM. Neenah Wins WIAA Team Sectional Championship Dual vs West Bend East

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team won the WIAA Team Sectional Dual Tuesday February 18th 2020 at Hartford Union High School vs West Bend East 36-25. Neenah was down early in the dual 9-0 but Davin Munoz @ 182 turned the tides with a critical 5-3 decision in the closing seconds at 182 pounds. The rockets quickly added 24 team points with three consecutive pins by Marshall Kools (195), Bryce Fochs (220), and Caleb Letson (285). William Rambert picked-up a forfiet at 106 pounds to make it 27-9 Neenah. The WBE Suns closed the gap to make it 27-13 when freshman Jayden Sheppard stepped on the mat. Sheppard stepped up in the 3rd period down 2-0 to pick up two three point nearfall turns to win 6-2 and extend the Neenah lead to 30-13. Charlie Alft at 126 sealed the Team State Clinching dual with a 7-5 win to make it 33-13. Drake Hayward at 145 pounds capped off the night with a 5-4 decision to make the final score 36-25. The top four place winners from the WIAA Regional Championship day all moved on to the WIAA Individual Sectional Tournament on Saturday February 22nd at Oshkosh North High School. The top two of eight wrestlers in the brackets will advance to the WIAA Individual State Tournament in Madison Thursday February 27th-Saturday February 29th. Neenah Wins WIAA Regional Championship for the first time in 16 years.

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team won the WIAA Regional on Saturday February 15th 2020 in dramatic fashion at Slinger High School. The Rockets knocked off #9 Ranked and 3X Returning Team State Qualifiers in Slinger in the final round of wrestling. The Rockets crowned 5 regional champions in Drake Hayward (145), Bryce Crook (170), Marshall Kools (195), Caleb Letson (220), and Bryce Fochs (285). Hayward was the 3rd seed, Crook the 6th seed, and Letson the 4th seed to begin the tournament. Jayden Sheppard lost in the finals to the #1 ranked wrestler at 120 in Wisconsin to place 2nd. Tyler Beauchamp (106), Evan Piechocki (113), Austin Lewis (152), and Davin Munoz placed 3rd and Ramon Manka-Wigfall was 4th at 132. The team competes on Tuesday February 18th at Hartford Union vs regional champion West Bend East for a birth to the WIAA Team State Tournament on the line. The WIAA Team State Tournament is held at the UW Madison Fieldhouse March 6th and 7th. The top four place winners all moved on to the WIAA Individual Sectional Tournament on Saturday February 22nd at Oshkosh North High School. The top two of eight wrestlers in the brackets will advance to the WIAA Individual State Tournament in Madison Thursday February 27th-Saturday February 29th.

Marshall Kools named FVA Wrestler of the Year

Congrats to Neenah Senior and Standford recruit Marshall Kools on being named the 2020 Fox Valley Association Wrestler of the Year.

Neenah placed 3rd @ 50th FVA Conference Tournament: Hayward and Kools win Individual Championships

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team placed 3rd of 10 teams at the 50th annual FVA Conference Tournament. Neenah was led by 2X FVA Conference Champion Marshall Kools @ 195. Kools was also voted as the Fox Valley Association Wrestler of the year and is now 34-0. Drake Hayward also won his first conference championship at 145 pounds moving to 29-5 on the season. Jayden Sheppard placed 2nd at 120 pounds to finish his freshman FVA campaign as an all conference 2nd team member. Charlie Alft (126) and Bryce Fochs (285) also placed 3rd to make the all FVA Honorable Mention Team.

Neenah finishes FVA Dual Season 7-2 with 48-18 Win over Oshkosh North.

The Neenah High School team wrapped up it's FVA Dual Season with a 48-18 win over the Oshkosh North Spartans on Thursday January 30th. The Rockets capped the 2019-2020 FVA Duals with an overall record of 7-2 which places our team in 3rd place heading into the 50th FVA Conference Tournament on Saturday February 8th at Kaukauna High School. Racking up 6 team points for pinning their opponents on the evening were...William Rambert (106), Davin Munoz (182), Bryce Fochs (220), and Caleb Letson (285). Tyler Beauchamp (113) won by technical fall while Jayden Sheppard (120) and Austin Lewis (138) won by decision. Drake Hayward (145) and Marshall Kools (195) each won by forfiet.

Neenah Varsity placed 3rd of 27 Teams at Highlander Invitational in Homestead.

The Neenah HS Wrestling Team traveled to Homestead High School on Friday January 24th 2020 for the Highlander Invitational. The Rockets placed 3rd out of 27 teams on the evening and ahead of FVA Conference Teams in Kimberly and Fond du Lac. Marshall Kools improved to 30-0 on the season with a 5-0 day which included 5 pins in route to the title at 195 pounds. Drake Hayward finished 2nd at 145 pounds and was 4-1 on the day with 4 pins improving his season record to 25-5. Jayden Sheppard was 3rd at 120 pounds and Bryce Fochs was 3rd at 285 pounds. Tyler Beauchamp was 5th at 113 pounds and Ramon Manka-Wigfall placed 6th at 132. Davin Munoz and Caleb Letson rounded out the top 8 placing 7th and 8th respectfully. Other Rockets competing in the event were Bryce Crook 9th at 170, William Rambert 13th at 106, Austin Lewis 13th at 138, and Kenny Schaufelberger 15th at 160. The varsity team returns to action Thursday January 30th at Oshkosh North High School to close out the FVA dual meet season. The Rockets head into week #9 in 3rd place in the FVA Conference.

Neenah moves past Appleton North 56-18 on Senior and Middle School Night.

On Thursday January 23rd the Neenah High School Wrestling Team defeated Appleton North 56-18 on Senior and Middle School Night to move to 6-2 overall in the FVA conference and 8-3 overall in 2019-2020 dual meets. The Rockets were led by pinners William Rambert (106), Tyler Beauchamp (113), Ramon Manka-Wigfall (132), Austin Lewis (138), Drake Hayward (145), Bryce Crook (170), Davin Munoz (182), and Marshall Kools (195). Charlie Alft (126) won by technical fall 17-0 while Kenny Schaufelberger won by decision 12-5. We want to wish our Senior Class of 2020 the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Neenah goes 2-0 @ FVA Double Duals

Last night the Rockets picked up 2 FVA Conference wins in Fond du Lac for the FVA Double Duals. The Rockets knocked off Fond du Lac 59-18 and Appleton East 70-7 to move to 5-2 in the FVA Conference with two duals remaining (1/23 vs Appleton North and 1/30 vs Oshkosh North). The Rockets were led by Tyler Beauchamp (2-0 @ 113), Jayden Sheppard (2-0 @ 120), Charlie Alft (2-0 @ 126), Ramon Manka-Wigfall (2-0 @ 132), Drake Hayward (2-0 @ 145), Kenny Schaufelberger (2-0 @ 170), Davin Munoz (2-0 @ 182), Marshall Kools (2-0 @ 195), Caleb Letson (2-0 @ 220), and Bryce Fochs (2-0 @ 285). Tonight the reserves are in action at the Freedom JV Duals. Wrestling begins in Freedom at 5:00 PM. This weekend the Neenah Girls 2-8 wrestling team competes in Freedom on Sunday, while our Youth 3-5 competes in the Wisconsin Rapids Duals on Saturday, and the Middle School Wrestles at Wausau West Saturday. BIG WEEKEND FOR NEENAH WRESTLING. The varsity returns to action Thursday January 23rd @ Home for the final time this year vs Appleton North. This will be our annual Middle School Wrestling Night and Senior Night. Come out to support our SENIORS for their FINAL match @ HOME.

Neenah Varsity 2nd @ Warhawk Duals

The Neenah Varsity Wrestling team traveled to Hartland Arrowhead on Saturday January 11th 2020 for the Warhawk Duals. The shorthanded Rockets went 2-1 on the day and finished as team runner-up. In Round #1 the Rockets dropped a tight 36-30 dual to D1#9 Bay Port. In Round #2 the Rockets bounced back to defeat Winneconnie 51-27. In Round #3 the Rockets prevailed over D1 #8 Hartland Arrowhead 43-34. The Rockets were led by undefeated wrestlers on the day in Marshall Kools @ 195(3-0) who moved to 22-0 on the season, Ramon Manka-Wigfall @ 132 (3-0: 2 Pins and a Tech Fall), Drake Hayward @ 145 (3-0, 1 Pin), and Bryce Fochs @ 220/285 (2 Pins).

Neenah Qualifies Three Wrestlers to the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association State Tournament (JV) State. McCormick to wrestle in the Girls State Division.

Three Neenah High School Wrestlers punched their ticket to the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association Tournament by placing top three in their respective weight class at the Little Chute Qualifier this Saturday January 11th. Two Rockets claimed titles in Nick Novak (113) and Eric Schaufelberger (220). Novak was 4-0 with two pins while Eric Schaufelberger was 4-0 with four pins. Charlie Alft placed third at 126 going 4-1 on the day with 4 pins. The WWCA State Tournament is Saturday January 25th at Wausau West High School. All JV State Placewinners will win their varsity letter in wrestling this season. Hannah McCormick will also be competing at the WWCA State Tournament in the Girls Tournament at the 145 pound weight class.

Neenah dominates Rumble at the Rocketorium v4 over Oshkosh West 56-18.

Neenah High School Wrestling team hosted FVA Conference foe Oshkosh West Thursday January 2nd on the Pickard Auditorium Stage for the Rumble at the Rocketorium v4. Thank you to the Neenah Joint School District Administration, Activities Office, Pickard Staff, the Neenah Wrestling Club, the Neenah Police Department, our nearly 50 business sponsors, our Middle School and Youth programs and coaching staffs, team managers, Oshkosh West High School Wrestling, and the Freedom Wrestling Academy for making the Rumble at the Rocketorium v4 possible. Tonight our Neenah Wrestling program was able to see the Middle School Wrestling team compete, our 3rd-5th grade Youth Program recognized, and our Neenah HS Wrestling Team prevail 54-18 over Oshkosh West. Tonight our varsity Rockets Marshall Kools (195), Caleb Letson (220), Bryce Fochs (285), Drake Hayward (145), Kenny Schaufelberger (160), and Bryce Crook (170) all recorded wins via pin. Tyler Beauchamp (113) won by technical fall 18-3 while Austin Lewis added on another team point with a 15-2 major decision. Also winning varsity matches tonight were Evan Piechocki (106), Dante Caiani (126), and Ramon Manka-Wigfall (132). Congrats to Neenah JV Wrestler Eric Schaufelberger who recorded his first High School win. Neenah Wrestling finishes 9th of 67 teams at the 2019 Oshkosh on the Water Tournament.

Neenah High School Wrestling placed 9th of 67 teams at the Oshkosh on the Water Christmas Tournament held at the Kolf Sports Center at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh this past weekend Friday December 27th and Saturday December 28th. Neenah crowned one champion on the day in Marshall Kools @ 195. This was Kools 2nd consecutive OTW Title after winning the 195 pound championship one year ago. Kools improves to 17-0 on the season and leads the team in wins (17) and pins (8) heading into 2020. Drake Hayward was 5-1 on the weekend and made it to the championship match vs nationally ranked and Wisconsin Badger commit Aiden Medora from St. John's Military Academy. Drake dropped his finals match to Medora 10-4. Evan Piechocki (106) was 8th and Tyler Beauchamp (113) was 11th. Jayden Sheppard (120), Bryce Crook (170), and Caleb Letson (285) each made the 2nd day of the event and dropped their opening blood round match to end their tournaments.

Neenah Wrestling Scraps to 4th Place Finish @ Badger State Invitational

Neenah High School Wrestling placed 4th of 22 teams at the Badger State Invitational in Madison WI this past weekend. Wrestling took place on Saturday December 21st at the Alliant Energy Center Convention Center. The Rockets finished behind the #1 Ranked Team in D3 Fennimore, #1 Ranked Team in D1 Stoughton, and #9 Ranked Team in D1 DePere and ahead of D1 #12 Ranked Waunakee, D2 Honorable Mention Baldwin-Woodville, and D3 Honorable Mention Mineral Point. Neenah crowned one champion on the day in Marshall Kools @ 195. Kools wins the title after finishing as a runner-up in 2018 @ 195 and 2017 @ 220. Kools lead the team with 11 wins on the season as he holds an 11-0 record. Jayden Sheppard had another strong showing placing 3rd @ 120 pounds and moving to 10-1 on the season. Jayden revenged his only loss on the season in the first round. Tyler Beauchamp (113) and Dante Caiani (126) both made the semifinals and dropped their final two matches to place 4th. Evan Piechocki (106), and Drake Hayward (145) both placed 5th while a pair of sophomores in Austin Lewis (138) and Caleb Letson (285) each placed 6th. Davin Munoz (182) rounded out our top 8 place winners by coming in 7th (182). Neenah drops competitive FVA Conference Dual vs rival #7 Ranked Kimberly 33-32

Neenah High School Wrestling dropped an FVA Conference home dual 32-33 to D1 #7 Ranked Kimberly on Thursday December 19th. The Rockets held a 13 point lead with 3 matches to go but were unable to hold off a strong Kimberly team. On the night Neenah won 7 matches and Kimberly 6 plus a forfeit. The Rockets won the pin battle 3-2 but lost more bonus points in the non-pin match-ups. Picking-up pins for the Rockets were Marshall Kools (195), Tyler Beauchamp (113), and Jayden Sheppard (120). Drake Hayward won by tech-fall @ 152 over a returning FVA Conference Champion and State Qualifier. Evan Piechocki (106), Dante Caiani (126), and Austin Lewis (138) also picked-up wins.

Neenah wins Inaugural Neenah Varsity Invite 12/12/19

Neenah High School Wrestling wins the inaugural Neenah Invitational on Friday December 13th 2019. The Rockets stayed ahead of the field of 13 teams including D2 #5 Ranked Wittenburg Birnamwood. Neenah crowned two champions on the day in Evan Piechocki @ 106, and Marshall Kools @ 195. Tyler Beauchamp (113), Austin Lewis (138), and Drake Hayward (145) all finished 2nd respectively. We had a plethora of 3rd place finishes with William Rambert (106), Nick Novak (113), Jayden Sheppard (120), Charlie Alft (132), Ramon Manka-Wigfall (132), Bryce Crook (170), and Davin Munoz (182). Bryce Fochs (220) and Caleb Letson (285) came in 4th place and Dante Caiani (126) was 5th.

Neenah moves to 2-0 in the FVA with a 72-3 Win over Appleton West

Thanks to everyone who made the trip up to Appleton West tonight for our FVA Conference Dual vs Appleton West. The Rockets competed very well tonight winning the varsity dual 72-3. We were led on the evening by Davin Munoz (182), Caleb Letson (220), Bryce Fochs (285), Evan Piechocki (106), Nick Novak (113), Jayden Sheppard (120), Austin Lewis (138), Drake Hayward (145), and Jenssey Fermin (152) who all won by fall. Bryce Crook revenged a loss from last season at 170 and Kenny Schaufelberger picked-up his first varsity dual meet win at 160. Seniors Marshall Kools (195) and Dante Caiani (126) both won by forfeit. Tonight we celebrate first career wins by freshman Nick Novak and Jayden Sheppard at the varsity level and Eli Gast (160) at the JV level. Jenssey Fermin (152) and Caleb Letson (220) also pick-up their first ever varsity dual meet match wins this evening. The JV wrestlers fared well this evening as Preston Hella (106) improved to 4-0 on the season with 4 pins, Zach Kramp won by FF, Ramon Manka-Wigfall won by fall twice to go to 2-0 on the evening, and Eli Gast won by fall. We are very proud of Hannah McCormick our first female wrestler to take the mat in our High School program in many many years. Neenah Opens 2019-2020 Season with a FVA Dual Win over Hortonville

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team opened the 2019-2020 WIAA competitive season with a 42-32 win over FVA Conference Foe Hortonville. The Rockets were led by Drake Hayward (145), Davin Munoz (182), and Bryce Fochs (285) who all recorded pins. Tyler Beauchamp (113), and Austin Lewis (138) each won by decision. Jayden Sheppard (120), Marshall Kools (195), and Caleb Letson (220) picked-up forfeits on the evening. This was also our annual parents night and we recognized our partnership with Thedacare who's sponsorship helped us purchase a new competition mat for our program.

WIAA Team State Qualifiers

Neenah Wins WIAA Team Sectional Championship Dual vs West Bend East

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team won the WIAA Team Sectional Dual Tuesday February 18th 2020 at Hartford Union High School vs West Bend East 36-25. Neenah was down early in the dual 9-0 but Davin Munoz @ 182 turned the tides with a critical 5-3 decision in the closing seconds at 182 pounds. The rockets quickly added 24 team points with three consecutive pins by Marshall Kools (195), Bryce Fochs (220), and Caleb Letson (285). William Rambert picked-up a forfiet at 106 pounds to make it 27-9 Neenah. The WBE Suns closed the gap to make it 27-13 when freshman Jayden Sheppard stepped on the mat. Sheppard stepped up in the 3rd period down 2-0 to pick up two three point nearfall turns to win 6-2 and extend the Neenah lead to 30-13. Charlie Alft at 126 sealed the Team State Clinching dual with a 7-5 win to make it 33-13. Drake Hayward at 145 pounds capped off the night with a 5-4 decision to make the final score 36-25. The top four place winners from the WIAA Regional Championship day all moved on to the WIAA Individual Sectional Tournament on Saturday February 22nd at Oshkosh North High School. The top two of eight wrestlers in the brackets will advance to the WIAA Individual State Tournament in Madison Thursday February 27th-Saturday February 29th. Neenah Wrestling 2020 WIAA Regional Champions

Neenah Wins WIAA Regional Championship for the first time in 16 years.

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team won the WIAA Regional on Saturday February 15th 2020 in dramatic fashion at Slinger High School. The Rockets knocked off #9 Ranked and 3X Returning Team State Qualifiers in Slinger in the final round of wrestling. The Rockets crowned 5 regional champions in Drake Hayward (145), Bryce Crook (170), Marshall Kools (195), Caleb Letson (220), and Bryce Fochs (285). Hayward was the 3rd seed, Crook the 6th seed, and Letson the 4th seed to begin the tournament. Jayden Sheppard lost in the finals to the #1 ranked wrestler at 120 in Wisconsin to place 2nd. Tyler Beauchamp (106), Evan Piechocki (113), Austin Lewis (152), and Davin Munoz placed 3rd and Ramon Manka-Wigfall was 4th at 132. The team competes on Tuesday February 18th at Hartford Union vs regional champion West Bend East for a birth to the WIAA Team State Tournament on the line. The WIAA Team State Tournament is held at the UW Madison Fieldhouse March 6th and 7th. The top four place winners all moved on to the WIAA Individual Sectional Tournament on Saturday February 22nd at Oshkosh North High School. Marshall Kolls 1st Place WIAA Individual State Tournament @ 195

Marshall Kools wins WIAA D1 Individual State Champion with a 45-0 record.

Neenah High School Senior Marshall Kools made his 3rd trip to the Kohl Center one for the ages. Kools brought home the WIAA Individual State Championship at 195 pounds in Division #1. Kools was 4-0 in the tournament winning three of his four matches by fall. Kools started off with a 9-3 decision over Stoughton's #4 Rudy Detweiler. Kools then took out #2 ranked Drake Schrams of Holmen in the state quarterfinals winning by fall in the first period. On Friday Night Marshall won via fall in the 3rd period in a hard fought 6-6 match at the time vs Mukwanago standout Ryan Krimpelbine. Kools then took care of business in the WIAA State Finals vs Zach Wallace of Burlington winning by fall in the 2nd period. Kools a 3X WIAA State Qualifier is Neenah's 9th Individual State Champion All Time with an undefeated record of 45-0. Kools also moved into 2nd place all time on the Neenah High School career wins list with 147 wins only behind Tim McCarthy at 158 career wins.

Neenah High School Wrestling had 8 wrestlers meet the traditional WIWRESTLING.COM All-State Scholar Athlete Recognition for the 2019-2020 season. Requirements to earn recognition as an All-State Scholar Athlete are...3.0 GPA, Minimum of 10 Matches Wrestled on Varsity, Minimum .600 winning percentage on varsity. Drake Hayward 5th Place WIAA Individual State Tournament @ 145

Hayward places 5th @ WIAA Individual State and gets Career Win #100

Neenah High School Junior Drake Hayward wrestled in his 3rd WIAA Individual State Tournament February 27th-29th at the Kohl Center. Hayward finished 5th overall in a loaded #145 pound bracket. Hayward got off to a fast start on Thursday night knocking off #2 Ranked Noah Leisgang of Ashwaubenon 3-0 and followed up that win with a dominant 10-4 win over Leo Draveling of Hudson. The 2-0 start Thursday night placed Drake in the WIAA Semi-Finals on Friday where he faced Max Ehlen of Burlington. Hayward led most of the match vs Ehlen but gave up a critical reversal with 15 seconds remaining to lose 4-3. Ehlen went on to win the WIAA Individual State Tournament. On Saturday Hayward lost 1-0 to Gavin Model of Stoughton to put him in the rubber match for 5th place vs Isaac Ortegon of Fond du Lac. Drake prevailed in the third meeting in just three weeks winning by fall to place 5th and get his 100th career win.

The Neenah High School Wrestling Team qualified five wrestlers to the WIAA Individual State Tournament held at the Kohl Center in Madison WI Thursday February 27th-Saturday February 29th. The Rockets were led by WIAA Sectional Champions Bryce Crook @ 170 and Marshall Kools @ 195. Neenah also qualified sectional runner-ups in Jayden Sheppard @ 120, Drake Hayward @ 145, and Caleb Letson @ 220. Bryce Fochs was 3rd @ 285 while Tyler Beauchamp and Davin Munoz came in 4th @ 106 and 182 respectfully. The Qualifiers will take the mat at the Kohl Center on Thursday February 27th at 3:00 PM. The Neenah HS Wrestling team qualified 3 individuals for the WIAA State Tournament in 2018-2019. Returning to Madison for the 2nd consecutive time are the trio of Drake Hayward, Marshall Kools, and Isaiah McCormick. Marshall Kools finished 3rd in D1 @ 195. Isaiah McCormick finished 6th in D1 @ 170. Drake Hayward lost in the blood-round (placement) to go 2-2 in the state tournament.

Established in the summer/fall of 2016 the Neenah High School and Youth Wrestling programs call this facility home along with our offseason RWF training and the Twin City Wrestling Club.
